I am on a three-month sabbatical from my job as a pastor at Calvary Church in Muscatine, Iowa, a small town on the banks of the Mississippi River. I will be spending a month backpacking across Spain on a 500-mile spiritual pilgrimage. My assignment: Listen to the voice of God for my marching orders for this last third of my life.
I have lived half my life in Italy, so traveling in Europe is something I love to do. Now, I SAID I would be walking across Spain….I will more likely be on the Mediterranean riviera soaking up some sun. Some of my friends threatened to hook me up with a GPS locator to check up on me.
